Now that the big shitty bill has passed, many will ask and waste too much time on "How did we get here?" Way before this day, however, the trend has been for government to work for the oligarchs and corporations, we've all seen this so in some sense, this is just the obvious result of the trend. Eventually, yes, that needs to be investigated more, but right now is time for other things.

Resistance. Survival. Unification. There are much more of us than there are of them. They can't lock us all up. They can't kill us all (without killing most of them).

Is there anyone out there that really believes Trump is looking out for them, for you? Really? Government rules by the consent of the governed and I think it's safe to say that consent is no longer given.

Get to know your neighbors if you don't already. Make backup plans when we no longer have accessible food, accessible healthcare. Don't think that any police agency is looking out for your best interests. Make escape plans if you feel that might be necessary.

Believe that there is good that will come of all this in the long run. Don't despair, don't be paralyzed. Even if that good is past our lifetimes, we owe it to the future generations to lay the groundwork. There is a better way. We all know it. Rich assholes don't have to and shouldn't control government.

Don't give up. Don't give in. Keep your integrity. Don't bow down.

The way forward will present itself. You are a part of it. You also are going to come up with a part of it.
